I've worked in publishing nearly all my life. I began by working for my mother as a teen, teaching myself how to use Adobe Creative Suite. At age 15 I started to work in newspapers as a layout designer. I left newspapers to complete a performing arts degree at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. While studying there, I re-entered the design world as a book designer and photo restorer.
After graduation from UBC, I transitioned from performing arts to communications and social media. I served as a communications assistant for Kirk & Co. Consulting Ltd., one of British Columbia’s leading communication firms.
Now I run my own business, Watts-Grant Creative, helping to create authentic original content for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and self-publishers. Offering services in communications consulting, book design, and photo restoration, I also continue to pursue performing arts as a hobby.
