I've worked in publishing nearly all my life. I began by working for my mother as a teen, teaching myself how to use Indesign. At age 15 I started to work in newspapers as a layout designer, and continued until beginning at university. In 2016 I completed a performing arts degree at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. While studying there, I re-entered the design world as a book designer and photographer.
After graduation from UBC, I transitioned from performing arts to communications, and interned as a communications assistant for Kirk & Co. Consulting Ltd., one of British Columbia’s leading public consultation firms. After leaving Kirk & Co., I continued to work in communications while also designing books.
Watts-Grant Creative was started with the goal of helping to create authentic original content for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and self-publishers. Since starting the company my work has grown to include videography, as well as continuing communications consulting, book design, and photography, I also continue to pursue performing arts as a hobby.
